& Our Story…
A client once told us hotel work was her single most difficult task to fit in - managing contracts and providing attendees city-wide housing. She became our first client. Since then, we’ve managed housing for her last 25 tradeshows….and we look forward to 25 more.
Our clients are our story. Our clients need us, each for different reasons but with one common thread: they need to focus on their events. With DFM&E, they have full confidence we are managing the hotel front.
We bridge gaps. World clocks and oceans. International business practices verses American business practices. And fitting the client’s hotel needs into the always-a-puzzle, citywide hotel framework.
And while we’re working with their hotels, they’re realizing their life’s work, like launching new industry tradeshows and growing others. Or training female athletes on a national level and helping them land 270 (and counting) collegiate scholarships. Or hosting shows coveted by nationally recognized fine artists and continually seeking-out the rising artists who will attend next.
Our clients are stimulating global change. Shaping young lives. Growing the arts. Competing nationally. Building financial investments. And crossing oceans. All while we do the hotel work…and they focus on theirs.
That’s really our story. Clients working on their vision and their passion -- & who need us.
Our team understands the value of client relationships and constant communication.
Founder & Owner
Jaime Steakley has worked for DF Meetings & Events for four years. She discovered her passion for events while preparing for and exhibiting at several annual international trade shows and business conferences during her decade in the Defense Industry. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and her Certification of Event Management through the Rosen School of Hospitality Management, one of the top five hospitality schools worldwide.
Jaime manages and cultivates relationships within multiple accounts for DF Meetings & Events. She is also an expert in Cvent’s Passkey, the industry-leading 24/7 online automated reservations and housing system, of which DFM&E is a proud licensed provider. She is often the voice hotel partners reach for when navigating the final days before a DFM&E event opens.
Prior to joining DF Meetings & Events, Jaime worked in several sales and marketing roles for defense industry contractors: ICx Technologies, FLIR Systems and EMX International. She brings her extensive knowledge of managing government contracts, sales and project management to the DFM&E team.
When she isn’t working, Jaime enjoys DIY home projects, time by the ocean and visiting Walt Disney World with her husband and son.
Always on the lookout for the next big event, business, and social media trends, Fallon brings the millennial perspective to DF Meetings & Events as well as to her clients.
Before coming to work fulltime at DFM&E in 2016, Fallon graduated with her Master’s in International Development from Emory University in 2015. While there, she studied the various economic, social, and political systems that contribute to sustained poverty and how to combat them. As part of her degree requirements, she spent two summers doing fieldwork in Rwanda, acting as the project manager of a water, sanitation, and hygiene project for schoolchildren.
Paired with her undergraduate degree from Furman University in Global Health Journalism, she developed the skills she needed to work with communications teams for organizations like Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and The ONE Campaign that advocate for the importance for fair water, sanitation, and hygiene opportunities and increased foreign aid.
A true world traveler, Fallon brings her extensive travel experience and the make-it-work mentality learned from working abroad to DF Meetings & Events, along with her passion for event planning and her championing of customer service.
